This thangka has a special craftsmanship, a small inheritance range, and a very low survival rate. This thangka is woven with a large amount of pure gold threads, which shows its unusual rules and identity. In terms of size, it is the largest size we have ever seen in the Tang Dynasty. Hayagriva, one of the Avalokitesvara in the womb realm, one of the six Avalokitesvara, is the master of the animal path, and is the teaching wheel body of Amitabha Tathagata, the master of the lotus tribe. He is manifested by Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, with a horse head at his head. He is in the form of great wrath, mighty and overwhelming, so he is called the Hayagriva. He is the King of Lotus among the five kings. He is like the horse-drawn horse of the Holy King of Wheels, galloping in all directions and overpowering him, which means that he is wading through the sea of life and death to defeat the four demons. It has great power and great energy, and it also means that eating without understanding is a serious obstacle. This painting uses the colors of the Tang Dynasty very well. The main image of Hayagriva appears with three heads, six arms and eight legs. The image is majestic and the Dharma is solemn! The body is red in color, with three eyes wide open on each face, a mouth full of fangs, and a ferocious expression. He wears a skull crown on his head, and his thick red hair rises upward like a blazing flame, which is exaggerated and powerful. There are also three horse heads protruding from the hair on the front and sides, which seem to be filled with the arrogance of surrendering to the three realms. This is also the main feature to determine his identity. He has a short and fat body, with six arms holding magical weapons. On the right is a vajra, a heavenly staff, and a vajra sword. On the left are flags, short grass, and intestines. Each arm is stretched to both sides. The lower eight legs are in a bowed position, standing on the lotus platform, majestic and dynamic. Hayagriva's plump belly is decorated with a necklace and a necklace of human-headed snakes. He wears bracelets on his hands, arms and ankles. He wears elephant skin on his shoulders and wears a tiger skin skirt around his waist. This signifies that he has subdued all demonic obstacles of Rakshasa, ghosts, gods, and dragons, and eliminated them all. Clear karmic obstacles, plagues, illnesses, and avoid all evil curses and evil laws. It is said that Qianlong Emperor's mother personally led the palace craftsmen to produce many silk-woven Thangka works, including Thangkas, which were distributed to various temples as rewards. The entire thangka has a grand scene, rich color layers, and finely outlined images that are vivid and delicate, complex but not chaotic. It was inherited from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in the early years and was handwoven by Tashi Lhunpo Monastery ' masters from the Qing Dynasty. The source is extraordinary, and the blessings of making offerings are great.
