Rare Artifacts〓In the Qing Dynasty, a rare consecrated triple-pronged Vajra nail made of Huangli Copper emerged in Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Compared to the five and nine-pronged varieties, the triple-pronged Vajra is exceedingly scarce, with most extant examples predating the Ming Dynasty. This Qing Dynasty triple-pronged Vajra is even rarer because of its impeccable condition, exceptional material, and dynamic design.
The distinctive form of this rare triple-pronged Vajra is rounded and full, imbued with the ancient patina of countless blessings, exuding a sense of antiquity. The central prong of the Vajra is exquisitely slender, with a unique double-lotus platform protruding from the middle; the shapes of the prongs on either side are equally unique. While the overall design is somewhat abstract, its majestic and powerful presence is still palpable. The slight curvature adds a sense of grace, enhancing the grandeur of the triple-pronged Vajra.
Crafted from Huangli Copper, this Vajra is of a moderate size, representing the golden standard for ritual implements. Embedded with four consecrated nails, it signifies complete empowerment. The overall condition of the Vajra is flawless, with natural wear and a thick, refined patina. The triple-pronged Vajra is the quintessential implement for practitioners of the wrathful Lotus Guru. This Vajra has been passed down from the Dzogchen Temple, one of the six major temples of the Nyingma tradition.
